    Never thought you’d see the day where you can have your cake (ahem banana bread) and eat it too but without the high sugar content? 


    Well today is that day my friend! Cause here I am! 


    I’m the perfect banana bread if you’re keeping an eye on your calories or really just wanting to bake a tasty treat which won’t have your guests and their kids bouncing off the walls with those crazy sugar highs. 


    Lovingly created with the perfect blend of two natural sweeteners of Monk Fruit and Erythritol means I won’t raise your blood sugar levels. 


    And if you want to know where that pesky 5% sugar actually comes from….it’s in the bananas! My mix is actually 100% sugar free and made of natural ingredients, so I’m making only a little naughty on the hips, but never on the lips.

  • How to make me?

    What you’ll need to bake me good: 

    3 spotty bananas, peeled (350g)

    3 eggs

    ½ cup olive oil



    Preheat oven to 160°C (fan forced) and line a large loaf tin with baking paper

    In a large bowl mash the bananas and combine

    with eggs & oil

    Add the Spotty Banana Bread baking mix, stir until combined and pour the mixture into the tin

    Bake for 60 minutes 

    Remove from tin, place on a cooling rack, pop the kettle on and call the tribe to the table!

    Handcrafted blend of Organic Rice, Organic Tapioca and Australian Green Banana Flour 

    Organic Erythritol - Erythritol is a natural sweetener with minimal calories that is derived from fermented fruits and vegetables. 

    Monk Fruit - another natural sweetener (and very on trend atm). Unlike its counterpart, Stevia, Monk Fruit has delicious honey notes and no bitter aftertaste. 

    A subtle hint of Organic Vanilla Bean & Cinnamon 

    Contains Prebiotic Fibres to aid your gut health.

    Am I gluten free?


    I’m a triple threat as I’m 95% sugar free, gluten free and vegan friendly with the use of our Spotty Egg Replacer!

    What’s my calorie count?


    Good question and just to keep it simple, I’m less than 200 calories per serve!


    So what actually gives me this sweet taste if it’s not sugar?


    I’m made from a special blend of 2 natural sweeteners, being Erythritol and Monk Fruit. These sweeteners are great as they contain minimal calories and don’t raise blood sugars. 


    So if you’re calorie counting, keeping an eye on your blood sugar levels or just wanting to make more conscious choices around your sugar intake, I’m the loaf for you!  


    Erythritol what now?! 

    Oooh I love answering this as not many people are aware of the awesomeness of Erythritol!


    Let me fill you in! Erythritol is naturally occurring in fresh produce however on a commercial scale, it is produced from the fermentation of fruits and vegetables.  


    It has 70% of the sweetness of sugar, without the calories or carbs. Winning!


    Did a funky Monk make Monk Fruit or is it a natural fruit?


    Ah Monk Fruit. It’s a zen little sweet melon from Southern China and has been lovingly cultivated by monks over the centuries.


    The health benefits of the fruit have been well-known in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for decades, but its sweet little secret is finally making it into the wellness mainstream and into your banana bread!


    Don’t Bananas have sugar in?


    They sure do!


    And that’s why we’re saying that our Banana Bread loaf mix is 95% sugar free.


    While my actual mix 99% sugar free, it’s actually the use of bananas and their sugar content that makes up the rest!


    How do you store me? 


    Now I’m an actual loaf, I’m best kept in the fridge (1-4C) and eaten within 3 days (but I rarely last that long!). 


    Want me to hang around longer? 


    I’m happy to hang out in your freezer (-18C) with those mixed veggies and icecream for 3 months. 


    Store dry mix in a cool dry place away from light. 


    Can you use butter instead of oil to make me? 


    Best pop the butter back in the fridge. 


    Oil is what helps me bake into a beautiful light and fluffy loaf. 


    Butter will turn me into a firm loaf once you put me in the fridge, so it won’t be the best banana bread experience of your life….and we wouldn’t want that!

Full Ingredient Glossary


New Zealand rainwater. Mostly used as a solvent in which it dissolves many of the ingredients used to impart skin benefits.


Acts as a solvent to help dissolve the fragrance oils into the water.


Derived from sugar beet, it helps the skin retain moisture by reducing TEWL (trans-epidermal water loss) and creating a stronger skin barrier; this allows the skin to rehydrate itself quickly.

Sodium ascorbyl phosphate

A derivative of vitamin c, this supercharged antioxidant helps protect the skin against photo damage of the skin including premature ageing; keeping it looking fresh and healthy.

It was so easy and fun to make banana bread with your mix! It turned out absolutely delicious so moist and easy to slice!

This product is really surprising, you would think that a banana bread with such small amounts of sugar would be unappealing, however the natural sugars from the fruit do most of the hard work- and it tastes great. This is a great product for people who don't love most baked goods because they are too cloyingly sweet- I really loved that taste of this bread.
